Job Description:
1. Regulatory Compliance Management
- Monitor compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and industry
standards.
- Assess the impact of new and revised regulatory requirements on business operations.
- Ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes across the organization.
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance obligation register.
2. Compliance Monitoring & Testing
- Perform compliance reviews and monitoring activities in accordance with the Annual
Compliance Plan.
- Conduct thematic reviews and compliance testing exercises.
- Identify compliance gaps and weaknesses in processes and controls.
- Track remediation actions and ensure timely closure of findings.
3. Regulatory Advisory
- Provide compliance advice and guidance to business and support functions.
- Review new products, projects, initiatives, outsourcing arrangements, and partnerships
from a compliance perspective.
- Participate in committees, projects, and working groups as the Compliance representative.
4. Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)
- Support the implementation and enhancement of AML/CFT controls.
- Assist in customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions
screening, and suspicious transaction monitoring programs.
- Coordinate periodic AML risk assessments and reporting.
5. Governance & Policy Management
- Draft, review, and update compliance-related policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Ensure policies remain aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Coordinate annual policy reviews and governance exercises.
6. Regulatory Reporting & Liaison
- Coordinate submissions and correspondence with regulators.
- Prepare compliance reports for Management Committees, Board Committees, and Board
of Directors.
- Support regulatory examinations, audits, and information requests.
7. Compliance Risk Management
- Identify emerging compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support compliance risk assessments and enterprise-wide risk management initiatives.
- Maintain compliance issue and breach registers.
8. Training & Awareness
- Develop and conduct compliance awareness programs.
- Promote a culture of integrity, ethical conduct, and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver compliance training to employees and management.
9. Investigations & Incident Management
- Participate in investigations involving potential regulatory breaches or misconduct.
- Support whistleblowing investigations where necessary.
- Prepare investigation findings and management reports.
10. Third-Party Compliance Oversight
- Participate in due diligence reviews of vendors, outsourcing arrangements, and service
providers.
- Ensure compliance considerations are incorporated within vendor risk management
processes.
- Assess compliance risks associated with outsourcing arrangements and third-party
engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Risk Management, Economics,
Business Administration, other related disciplines.
- One or more of the following: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS),
Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), International Diploma in
Governance, Risk & Compliance (IDGRC), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Professional
Risk Manager (PRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Banker, ICA
International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance, or ICA Specialist Certificate
in AML/CFT.
- Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience in Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, AML/CFT,
Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Legal & Regulatory Affairs.
- Experience within Bank Negara Malaysia regulated institutions, licensed banks,
investment banks, insurance companies, Takaful operators, development financial
institutions, leasing or hire purchase companies, automotive financing companies, fintech
or digital financial service providers.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
