This position is primarily focused on installation, service, and upkeep for company family machines in customer locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of (a) complete system(s) at our customer’s location. Machine installation includes mechanical set-up, electrical hook-up, precision alignment, and establishing customer network interfaces, etc. to ensure the machine is properly functioning. The RSE will then continue with full service and upkeep, as well as operational advice, for the machine, in the customer’s facility to ensure that customer is able to fully capitalize on the capabilities of the machine they have procured.

Responsibility/Job Description.

•Provide technical support for company installed machines for electrical, mechanical, cooling, and gas systems to allow machines to operate at their optimal efficiency and productivity.

• Collaborate with customer personnel to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation.

• Engage, teach, and train customer personnel on level 1 system use for company equipment and peripheral machines.

• Attend, and schedule when required, meetings with customers to discuss installation or re-pair status and timing.

•Analyze potential issues and work on solutions through direct communication with company Customer Service.

•Communicate the installation or repair status frequently to the customer and the Service Manager.

• Work closely with the Head of Service, APAC to ensure customers are served with excellence.

• Execute company equipment software updates, configuration, and adjustment as required.

•This role is most effective at customers’ sites, which will primarily be in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; however, national and international travel may be required on occasion.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation Technology, or equivalent experience.

•Practical, hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment.

• Computer hardware/software set-up experience.

• Ability to read electrical schematics.

• Experience with 3D printing technology, preferably Metal Laser Powder Bed Fusion.

• Hands-on experience with automation systems in manufacturing plants.

• CAD software experience.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to travel internationally if requested.

• Ability to work independently and cope with pressure.
