The Expert Group Demand Planning & S&OP is responsible for leading the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, demand planning activities, and global allocation management to ensure optimal balance between customer demand, supply capabilities, and business objectives. The role drives cross-functional alignment with executive leadership, ensures achievement of company KPIs, and provides data-driven insights through planning and performance dashboards.
Job Descriptions:
1.Lead S&OP Process
- Lead and facilitate the monthly S&OP cycle across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
- Drive consensus demand and supply plans aligned with business strategy.
- Lead executive S&OP reviews and provide recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure alignment between operational plans and company financial targets.
2. Demand Planning Leadership
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts at global and regional levels.
- Analyse demand trends, market intelligence, customer requirements, and planning assumptions.
- Identify risks and opportunities impacting forecast performance.
- Collaborate with commercial and regional teams to continuously improve forecast quality.
3. Global Allocation Management
- Define and govern global allocation strategies during supply constraints with flexibility.
- Ensure fair and optimized allocation of products across regions, customers, and business units.
- Lead allocation review meetings and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Balance customer service, inventory, revenue, and profitability objectives.
4. Executive Alignment & Stakeholder Management
- Lead planning and allocation discussions with senior leadership and executive teams.
- Present key planning assumptions, risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
- Facilitate decision-making through effective communication and data-driven insights.
- Drive alignment across regional and global organizations.
5. KPI Management & Dashboard Development
- Design, maintain, and continuously improve planning and allocation dashboards.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators including:
- Forecast Accuracy (MAPE, Bias)
- Demand Changes and Volatility
- Inventory Health
- Customer Service Level (OTD/OTR)
- Global Allocation Performance
- Supply-Demand Gap Analysis
- S&OP Plan Adherence
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on KPI trends.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecast effectiveness.
- Drive digitalization( like IBP), automation, and analytics initiatives related to forecast/ demand.
- Establish best practices and governance standards for demand planning processes.
- Support strategic projects related to supply chain optimization and business growth.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning or S&OP.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a regional or global planning leadership role.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end S&OP & Demand processes and executive reviews.
- Experience managing demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supply-demand balancing.
- Hands-on experience in global allocation management during capacity or supply constraints.
- Strong track record of driving forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and customer service improvements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Executive Management.
- Experience developing and managing KPI dashboards and business intelligence reporting.
- Exposure to ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365, Kinaxis, OMP, APO, or equivalent).
- Experience leading continuous improvement, process standardization, and digitalization initiatives.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management.
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to global supply chain networks and multi-site planning.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP (D365), APS, and Business Intelligence tools.
- Strong dashboard development (Power BI) and KPI reporting capabilities.
- Advanced Excel and data analytics skills
