Junior Java Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to join a Government / Public Sector project within the Immigration industry. The role will be involved in Java application development, maintenance, and support.

This is an urgent requirement, and candidates who are available to start soon are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support Java-based web applications.
• Perform application enhancements, bug fixing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Work with Java frameworks and web technologies to support existing applications.
• Perform integration and support activities involving web services and APIs.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure applications function properly.
• Collaborate with the team to investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation where required.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with Java 8.
• Experience with Spring MVC and Hibernate.
• Experience with JSP and JQuery / jQuery.
• Experience with JasperReport / JasperReports.
• Familiarity with Apache Tomcat and Apache WildFly.
• Experience with Apache SVN.
• Knowledge of SOAP and JSON.
• Familiarity with Web Application / WebSphere environments.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on-site at Putrajaya.
• Local candidates only.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
