Job Summary

We are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in developing professional experience in takaful and financial services.

As a Takaful Consultant, you will assist individuals and families in understanding their financial protection needs and provide information on suitable takaful solutions.

Previous takaful experience is not required. Structured training, product education, coaching and mentoring will be provided.

This opportunity may be suitable for candidates with backgrounds in banking, finance, sales, customer service or other client-facing roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct client discussions to understand financial protection needs
• Explain takaful products, benefits and features to prospective clients
• Assist clients with financial protection and risk management planning
• Develop and maintain professional client relationships
• Follow up with prospective and existing clients
• Conduct client presentations and consultations
• Use approved digital platforms and communication channels for client engagement
• Maintain appropriate client and activity records
• Participate in product training, coaching and professional development programmes
• Follow applicable company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in any field
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Interest in financial services, sales or client advisory
• Banking, finance, sales or customer service experience is an advantage

Compensation

Performance-based compensation: Commission + applicable incentives

This is a performance-based agent role and does not provide a guaranteed monthly salary.

Commission and applicable incentives are subject to individual performance, prevailing compensation structure and applicable company terms.

Actual earnings vary between individuals.

Part-Time Opportunity

Eligible candidates may explore a part-time Takaful Consultant opportunity, subject to the applicable appointment, licensing and company requirements.

This option may be suitable for individuals who:

• Are currently employed and looking for a part-time professional activity
• Have experience in banking, finance, sales or customer service
• Want to develop experience in financial services
• Prefer to start on a part-time basis

Part-time status and appointment are subject to applicable PruBSN requirements.

PruVenture-i Career Development Programme

Eligible consultants may also have the opportunity to be considered for PruVenture-i, a 12-month career development programme under PruBSN.

The programme provides structured training, guidance and mentoring designed to support professional and career development within the PruBSN agency environment.

Eligible applicants may qualify for a monthly Bridging Income of up to RM10,000, subject to the applicable tier, production, case count, persistency, training and other programme requirements.

The three published tiers are:

• Tier 1: RM3,000 monthly Bridging Income
• Tier 2: RM6,000 monthly Bridging Income
• Tier 3: RM10,000 monthly Bridging Income

The applicable production and case-count requirements must be achieved to qualify for the corresponding payout. Bridging Income is therefore not a guaranteed salary or unconditional payment.

PruVenture-i Eligibility

The 2026 programme terms include requirements such as:

• Age 45 years old and below
• Minimum Diploma with 3 years working experience, or Degree and above including fresh graduates
• Minimum average income of RM2,400 based on the last three months’ last-drawn income
• Required takaful agent qualification/licensing
• Applicant must be contracted as a Full-Time Agent with PAMB/PruBSN
• Applicants currently serving as part-time agents must convert to full-time status and provide the required employment resignation documentation
• Other programme eligibility and approval requirements apply

Final eligibility and approval are subject to PruBSN’s applicable PruVenture-i terms and approval process.
