Job Summary:
Junior Biomedical Engineer to support the maintenance, operation, and management of biomedical equipment and systems. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments and vendors to ensure medical equipment is safe, functional, and properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and inspection of biomedical and medical equipment according to established procedures and checklists.
- Perform corrective and breakdown maintenance, including attending emergency technical calls within the required response time.
- Conduct calibration, acceptance testing, and safety testing of biomedical equipment using approved and calibrated test equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide appropriate technical solutions to ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
- Ensure all maintenance, inspection, calibration, and service activities are properly documented and maintain accurate service records.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment servicing, repairs, installation, and technical support, and verify service reports upon completion.
- Provide technical assistance and basic user guidance to relevant departments on the proper operation and handling of biomedical equipment.
- Monitor biomedical equipment licences, certifications, and regulatory requirements, and assist with coordination with relevant authorities such as KKM, JKKP, and CKAPS when required.
- Assist in equipment inventory management, including monitoring equipment status, maintenance schedules, and required spare parts or supplies.
- Respond to urgent or after-hours technical issues when required and support the team in resolving equipment-related problems.
- Perform other duties and technical assignments related to biomedical engineering as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Biomedical engineering or Electronics with minimum 3 year experience of servicing biomedical equipment.
- Minimum 2 year(s) of working experience in related field (Hospital).
- Applicants must be willing to work across Malaysia.
- Willing to work extra hours and on Public Holidays.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Class D Driving & B2 is must.
- Willing to work shift basis.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.
- Follow oral and written instructions and Department SOP/ MP.
- Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of:
- Health and safety regulations.
- ISO, MDA & ECRI regulations.
- KKM, CKAPS, UKAPS, JKKP regulations.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
