As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in the delivery of innovative and sustainable electrical building services solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading the design and development of Electrical Services (LV & ELV) across all project stages, from concept and detailed design through to construction and completion
• Preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications and contract documentation
• Delivering electrical designs for medium to large-scale projects across a variety of sectors
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated and efficient design solutions
• Managing authority submissions, contractor engagement, design reviews and site coordination activities
• Reviewing contractor shop drawings, alternative design proposals and technical submissions
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality
• Supporting and advancing technical excellence across our Electrical Practice
• Driving innovation through digital engineering, BIM and smart building technologies
• Participatingin work-winning activities by reviewing client briefs and tender requirements;shaping the electrical engineering scope, technical solution and deliveryapproach; contributing to bid strategy, methodology, programme, resourcing, feeestimates, risks and assumptions; coordinating multidisciplinary technicalinputs; and ensuring proposals are accurate, compliant, commercially deliverable and clearly demonstrate value to the client.

• Mentoring and developing graduate and junior engineers

About You

We're looking for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer who is passionate about engineering excellence, innovation and sustainable design.

You'll bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 7-15 years of experience within the building services consulting industry
• Experience delivering electrical building services designs for medium to large-scale projects
• Proficiency in BIM (Revit) and familiarity with tools such as ETAP, Dialux, ProDesign, VipCoda or similar engineering software
• A willingness to embrace emerging digital engineering and modelling technologies
• Understanding of local regulatory requirements, standards and building codes
• Progress towards Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional accreditation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organisational and project delivery capabilities
• Commercial awareness and confidence working directly with clients
• A growth mindset with a passion for innovation and collaboration
• Interest in sustainable design, smart buildings and digital solutions
