We are seeking an experienced journalist to develop and deliver stories about Singapore for the online platform of CNA.

Job Description:

• Report on news and developments in Singapore, producing multimedia content ranging from breaking news and daily coverage to in-depth features and analysis.
• Identify and pursue news leads and tips by cultivating a wide network of sources and contacts.
• Deliver original, value-added and impactful journalism, including long-form features, exclusives and interviews.

• A Degree in Mass Communication, Arts and Social Sciences or related areas.
• Be a motivated self-starter.
• At least 3 years of journalism experience, preferably for an online news platform
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• A proven track record of delivering articles which showcase strong journalism skills, such as exclusives, in-depth analyses or brilliantly written features.
• An outstanding grasp of current issues and news both locally and globally.
• An extensive network of contacts, with a focus on sports and community preferred.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• Be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends.
