Job Title: ICT Infrastructure Engineer
Position Type: Contract
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled ICT Infrastructure Engineer with experience in both On-Premise and AWS GCC 2.0 environments. The role involves implementing infrastructure projects, ensuring service delivery and support to meet availability, continuity, and capacity requirements, and providing solutions in the environment, including patch management and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have experience with DevOps tools and practices, especially within AWS, and a solid understanding of deployment architecture.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement projects to ensure service delivery and support, meeting availability, continuity, and capacity requirements.
• Translate business requirements into infrastructure design, ensuring compliance with the Authority’s Technical Architecture, SG-TRM, IM8, and Authority IT Policies.
• Collaborate with service providers to design, develop, deploy, and configure infrastructure that meets resiliency, availability, and data integrity needs.
• Manage infrastructure projects and services to support application systems environments.
• Request provisioning of new VMs for new systems and manage system architecture, resource planning, infrastructure performance, and system hosting environment from server hardware to OS layer (excluding hypervisor and storage).
• Serve as the main infrastructure single point of contact for all new application system initiatives, supporting application architecture design, integration, acceptance, and infrastructure performance testing.
• Handover infrastructure and systems standard operating procedures and day-to-day performance/availability monitoring to Operations Engineer upon commissioning and completion of PGP.
• Support Operations Engineer on infrastructure and systems, assist in infrastructure architecture review, support, and endorsement, and review hardening standards for OS and database.
• Manage hosting environment infrastructure onboarding, including design, setup, configuration, implementation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure components.
• Understand and manage systems operations environment.

Key Requirements:

• Infrastructure Experience: Proven experience with both On-Premise and AWS GCC 2.0 environments.
• Support and Maintenance: Experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and providing solutions in infrastructure environments, including patch management.
• DevOps Experience: Proficiency with DevOps tools and practices, particularly in AWS environments. Key tools include Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, GitHub, and CloudBees.
• On-Premise Tools: Familiarity with Dataiku for on-premise environments is a plus.
• Deployment Architecture: Strong understanding of deployment architecture and infrastructure performance testing.
• Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Windows OS (preferred), OS virtualization technologies, SAN storage, and/or databases (added advantage).
• Strategic Perspective: Ability to take a broad, strategic perspective as well as drill deep to understand business needs and challenges.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and identify comprehensive solutions considering all functional implications while developing a workable solution.
• Cyber Security: Good appreciation of common Cyber Security Risks and Controls, with knowledge of configuring popular Operating Systems (e.g., Windows or Linux) and/or Middleware (e.g., Apache, Nginx) against CIS standards.

• Hands-on experience in developing DevSecOps on Cloud or On-Premise environments.
• Knowledge of database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Good appreciation of common Cyber Security Risks and Controls.
• Knowledge of configuring popular Operating Systems and Middleware against CIS standards.
