Job Summary

The Financial Controller acts as a strategic partner to the Group Executive Team, driving financial strategy, optimizing performance, and mitigating risk across all business units. This role is responsible for overseeing financial planning (FP&A), treasury, tax, accounting, and M&A activities, while leading the digital transformation of finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

• Formulate and implement financial directions, strategies, and business plans to drive growth and maximize profitability.
• Establish and lead finance business partnering, providing financial analysis and insights to business units to support operational decisions and improve performance
• Support M&A activities, due diligence, fundraising, and capital structure initiatives.

2. Financial Performance & Operations Management

• Direct the annual budget exercise, forecasting, and expense management to achieve group business goals.
• Oversee accurate, timely consolidation of accounts and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage audit relationships, ensuring compliance with standards and prompt resolution of audit findings.

3. Treasury, Tax, and Risk Management

• Strategize and manage cash flow, investments, asset management, and banking relationships.
• Oversee tax planning, providing input on tax-efficient structures for new business cases, contracts, and policies.
• Perform financial risk management, managing forex, hedging, interest rates, and insurance portfolios.

4. Digitalization, Compliance & Governance

• Spearhead the digitalization of finance systems to enhance operational efficiency and data analytics capabilities.
• Ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, and group policies regarding financial, tax, and treasury functions.

5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Manage relationships with bankers, external auditors, regulatory authorities, vendors, and stakeholders.

6. Ad-Hoc Duties

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Qualifications such as ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA & etc.
• Minimum ten years' experience in finance leadership roles
• Possess good knowledge of operational processes and accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to build good relationships with different stakeholders.
