Kerja Sepenuh Masa, Associate-Legal Counsel (Compliance) di Shopee - Maukerja

As Shopee Legal Counsel in the HQ Legal Team, you will be a key partner of the business teams, advising on legal and compliance issues across our markets to develop new products, features and services to improve our users' experience.

Candidate must be a self-starter who has a strong interest in e-commerce and technology. This is a broad and varied role suitable for an experienced lawyer who is independent, resourceful, solution-oriented and keen to make an impact to the business.

• Provide day-to-day legal and compliance advice to business stakeholders across our markets across a wide range of topics including platform products and features, live-streaming and video content, product liability, logistics and cross-border matters.
• Review new programs, features and services and provide pragmatic advice to business stakeholders, including drafting internal and external facing policies.
• Proactively work with business stakeholders to review commercial frameworks, identify legal gaps and develop compliance plans.
• Oversee and coordinate with local legal teams to cascade regional initiatives and resolve local legal issues.
• Monitor legal landscape and coordinate correspondence/engagement with regulatory authorities.
• Provide internal trainings as required.
• Performing ad hoc legal initiatives as aligned with business strategy.

• Singapore-qualified lawyer with strong contracts experience. In-house experience in e-commerce/internet platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to lead projects as required.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
• Ability to analyse business risks and provide pragmatic legal advice in a dynamic environment.
