Position: Quality Controller – Body & Paint (Accident Claims)

Department:

Body & Paint / Collision Repair

Objective:

The Quality Controller ensures that all accident repair jobs in the body and paint department meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and customer expectations before vehicle delivery. This role focuses on inspecting repair quality, paint finish, and overall workmanship to ensure safe and flawless results.

Responsibilities:

1.Inspect vehicles after body repair and paint work to ensure quality standards are met

2.Verify that all accident-related damages have been properly repaired as per insurance/job card

3.Check paint finish for defects such as color mismatch, orange peel, runs, dust, or scratches

4.Ensure panel alignment, gap consistency, and proper fitment of parts

5.Confirm that all replaced parts match specifications and are properly installed

6.Review repair processes to ensure compliance with OEM (manufacturer) standards

7.Conduct final road tests (if required) to confirm vehicle performance and safety

8.Coordinate with technicians, painters, and supervisors to rectify any defects

9.Ensure all quality checklists and documentation are completed accurately

10.Maintain records of quality issues and suggest improvements to reduce repeat defects

11.Ensure cleanliness of the vehicle before delivery (interior and exterior)

Skills & Requirements:

1.Strong knowledge of automotive body repair and paint processes

2.Ability to identify paint defects and body alignment issues

3.Familiarity with insurance claim repair procedures

4.Attention to detail and high-quality standards

5.Good communication and teamwork skills

6.Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

7.Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple vehicles
