Job Description

Steer the financial management of Hensoldt Singapore and Australia Hensoldt forecasting

Direct the preparation of financial reports summarising and the organisation's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings and income;

Assess capital finance proposals and evaluate the financial status of operational projects and contracts, Monitor contract fulfillment.

Support for customer proposal preparation and proposal process

Deliver long-range profit and cash forecasts, budgeting, and financial reporting, i.e. Business Plan, Monthly Planning, Outlook ;

Provide expert advice on investment strategies, sources of funds and earnings distribution;

Engage in cost management and pricing strategies;

Determine, implement, monitor, review, and evaluate budgetary and accounting strategies, policies, and plans in consultation with the senior management team;

Provide advice on financial planning and risk management;

Monitor and support the design of commercial proposals by supporting price calculations in terms of profitability and pricing strategies, and follow through contract negotiation, execution, and delivery, reporting and close out as needed.

Monitor accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance

Provide financial information and interpret its implications for business performance and funding needs;

Report on financial performance to HENSOLDT Group in Germany;

Build and develop a high-performing finance team in accordance with HENSOLDT Group standards;

Lead and coordinate Finance Team in the respective entities

Provide coordinated financial data to HENSOLDT Group (Germany) on a weekly, monthly, annual basis;

Finalise post-merger integration by implementing relevant policies from the German parent company;

Ensure compliance with financial legislation and standards

Ensure compliance with HENSOLDT internal processes, directives and guidelines, e.g. Business Approval Directive

Implementation of an own ERP system and ensure compliance with financial legislation and standards including relevant HENSOLDT policies

Responsibility for the HENSOLDT Group Internal Trading Rules

Provide financial information and interpret its implications for business performance and funding needs;

Build and develop a high-performing finance team in accordance with HENSOLDT Group standards;

Skills & Experience required for the position

• At least 15 years' experience in finance and controlling in an international environment ideally in the Defence industry
• Several years of experience in working as a CFO/Finance Manager preferably within a small entity operating under the umbrella of a larger German corporation;
• Work experience combining international focus and demands from a European/German based mother company
• Several years of experience in working as a Finance Manager in Australia;
• Experience in setting up Finance & Controlling structures
• Experience with Australian financial legislation and standards
• Experience in Inter- and Intra-Company Trading
• Several years of experience managing complex commercial proposals and complex/ transversal projects and programs;
• Exceptional leadership and management abilities, with a demonstrated history of effectively guiding teams and achieving desired outcomes;
• Fluent proficiency in both English and German is essential to allow financial reporting to the head office in Germany;
• Understanding of German, Australian, Singaporean culture and work ethics
• Demonstrated sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills;
• Proactive and adaptable approach to work.

Qualification required for the position:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Finance or similar
• Tertiary qualifications in industrial engineering
