Job Summary

Lead the design and development of a portal application by defining architecture, coding standards, and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure backend services and responsive front-end interfaces while mentoring team members and supporting DevOps processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design and development of the portal application to meet business needs
  • Define architecture, coding standards, and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Develop scalable backend services using Python and Django to support application functionality
  • Build responsive user interfaces using React and modern front-end frameworks for optimal user experience
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and perform performance tuning to optimize application efficiency
  • Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability through best practices and proactive measures
  • Mentor and guide developers and junior team members to enhance team capabilities and code quality
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, manage deployments, and set up environments

Required competencies and certifications

  • 12+ years of software development experience
  • Proficient in Python and Django for backend development
  • Skilled in React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for frontend development
  • Experienced in designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Strong understanding of database design including SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, specifically AWS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Excellent communication and articulation skills
