Code Ninja is a Singapore coding school for students aged 9 to 18. With no more than six students per instructor, we give each learner the time, guidance and space to progress at their own pace.
We are looking for a part-time instructor who knows Python and is unusually good with children and teens. Guide students through Python and Scratch projects at different ability levels.
Ask useful questions, explain technical ideas simply and help students solve problems independently.
Observe student progress and record concise learning notes.
Maintain a focused, encouraging and respectful classroom.
Communicate with parents about student progress when required.
What we are looking for
Proficiency in Python is essential.
Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or otherwise working positively with children or teens is essential.
Patience, empathy and strong spoken English.
The ability to adapt explanations to different learners.
Reliability and commitment to a regular weekly schedule.
Familiarity with Scratch is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
A diploma, degree or current course of study in Computer Science, Engineering, Education or a related field

Code Ninja is where kids not just learn but actively participate in building the wonderful world of technology. Here kids are no longer spectators who simply marvel; they are enabled to become imaginative doers who can make their dreams a reality.
Our Vision is to to enable every child in Singapore to code as he or she is able to read and write.
