About the Role:

We are partnering with a leading insurance organization to appoint a CFO for their Singapore entity. The role will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and the leadership team, driving financial performance, governance, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial leadership across diverse business models
• Partner closely with management, business heads, to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
• Act as principal financial adviser to management and the board on profitability, capital, growth, and sustainability.
• Lead annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Deliver insights and recommendations to support business initiatives, investments, and expense management.
• Oversee accounting, financial close, statutory and regulatory reporting, tax filings, and group reporting.
• Manage audits, ensuring strong governance and remediation of findings.
• Manage liquidity, cash flow, banking relationships, and capital planning.
• Develop and monitor investment strategies aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee finance operations
• Drive process simplification, standardization, and automation.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
• Build strong relationships with senior executives, regulators, auditors, and regional/global stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA or equivalent.
• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
• Experience in the insurance industry and strong knowledge of Singapore insurance regulatory requirements is a must
• Ability to influence senior executives, boards, and regulators.
• Exceptional people leadership skills
• Strategic, empathetic, collaborative, and commercially astute.
