JOB SUMMARY

Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate units within the Early Childhood Education program. The role requires contributions to curriculum innovation, research, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise in early childhood pedagogy, curriculum development, and educational theories. Candidates with knowledge in special education, literacy development, or educational technology will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and continuously enhance curriculum and teaching materials across various academic levels and programs.
• Lead and facilitate teaching activities, including lectures, tutorials, and assessments, to ensure high standards of student learning outcomes.
• Provide academic advising, guidance, and mentorship to students.
• Supervise honours, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
• Engage in continuous professional development to strengthen teaching, supervision, and mentoring capabilities.
• Support the growth and innovation of the Faculty’s learning and teaching initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a robust portfolio of research and scholarly activities.
• Actively contribute to research training, the formation of research groups, and collaborative scholarly networks.
• Engage with industry and professional communities in areas aligned with the Faculty’s focus.
• Provide leadership in academic, professional, and community-oriented initiatives.
• Maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, professionalism, and quality in all areas of responsibility.
• Participate in the administration and continuous improvement of academic programs within the Faculty

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• PhD or Master in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
• At least 2-3 years experience in higher education teaching and research in early childhood education.
• Experience in supervising practicum students or working with early childhood teacher candidates during field placements.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories, curriculum frameworks, and early learning assessment.
• Research publications in early childhood education or related disciplines.
• Additional expertise in inclusive education, educational leadership, technology, play-based learning, or policy developments in early childhood education is an advantage.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
