Overview

The IT Technician delivers end-to-end technical support, system administration, network monitoring, and IT asset management. Operating as the primary technical point of contact, this role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to maintain secure, efficient operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• User Support & Access Management (Helpdesk)

  • Serve as the sole technical support lead for resolving hardware, OS, connectivity, and software issues.

  • Execute employee onboarding: provision user accounts, set up profiles, and configure laptops upon HR notification.

  • Execute employee offboarding: conduct IT exit clearance, revoke network/VPN access, configure email forwarding, and securely archive user data to QNAP storage.

  • Manage remote access requests and deploy client VPN configurations based on validated authorization forms.

• Cloud & Identity Administration

  • Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Exchange Online environments.

  • Manage licenses, user lifecycles, mailboxes, distribution groups, and security policies (MFA, Conditional Access).

• Network & Endpoint Infrastructure

  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain corporate switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

  • Manage local storage arrays (QNAP NAS), overseeing SSD cache optimization, system patching, and daily backup operations.

  • Administer enterprise-wide antivirus software, directing agent deployments and security policy enforcement.

• Web Applications, Databases & AI Workflows

  • Maintain internal web applications, runtime environments, and backend database health.

  • Manage PostgreSQL databases (schema updates, query optimization, edge functions, data integrity).

  • Build, monitor, and troubleshoot custom REST APIs for internal data flow.

  • Maintain cloud-hosted workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n) integrating GCP AI services and cognitive nodes into database operations.

• Asset & Vendor Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end IT hardware lifecycle (PCs, monitors, server hardware) from procurement to deployment.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for external ISPs, hardware vendors, and cloud service providers.
    

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, paired with 1–2 years of hands-on IT support/helpdesk experience.
• Strong background in Windows OS, user administration, basic networking, and endpoint hardware troubleshooting.
• Service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills to support users across all organizational levels.
• Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining strict confidentiality.

• Working Days: 5 Days a week, Monday to Friday.

• Working Hours: 8.30 am to 6.00 am
