Job Summary
Join On Site Alignment as a
Propulsion & Alignment Engineer / Marine Service Engineer
to troubleshoot, align, and install critical rotating machinery onboard vessels across Southeast Asia, delivering hands-on mechanical expertise and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, align, and install rotating machinery such as main engines, generators, and gearboxes onboard vessels to ensure optimal operation
Perform stern tube bearing repairs, bearing and coupling replacements, and machinery alignment using shims or chockfast
Conduct vibration measurement and analysis to support maintenance and repair activities
Liaise directly with customers on site to understand requirements and provide technical support
Prepare and follow up with detailed service reports to document work performed and recommendations
Adapt to changing demands and work conditions in the Southeast Asia region with flexibility and problem-solving skills
Collaborate effectively with team members and customers to deliver high-quality service and solutions
Apply creativity to find practical solutions using available materials, tools, and information
Demonstrate initiative and eagerness to learn new skills and techniques relevant to marine service engineering
Required competencies and certifications
Hands-on mechanical experience working onboard vessels
Mechanical background relevant to marine rotating equipment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Knowledge or experience with alignment measurement tools

We are specialized in alignment and installation of all rotating critical equipment on board of ships including engines, gearboxes, generators, shaft, (support) bearings and bow thrusters. Besides this, we also do vibration measurement and analysis, stern tube repairs and dimensional surveys.
We operate globally from our offices in Singapore, China, USA, UAE and The Netherlands - all led by Dutch management.
We have very strong ties with our Dutch maritime partner and/or shareholder companies. Together with them we regularly organize customer events, participate in exhibitions and work together for sales visits.
