EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 12 MONTHS CONTRACT VIA 3rd PARTY

We are seeking a highly experienced Fluids Specialist to support drilling and completion activities across offshore development projects. The role is responsible for planning, optimizing, and overseeing drilling fluids, completion fluids, geomechanics, and cementing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective well delivery while maintaining the highest HSE and environmental standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership

• Develop and optimize drilling fluids, completion fluids, geomechanics, and cementing programs.
• Perform hydraulics modelling, wellbore stability assessments, ECD analysis, and mud weight window design.
• Lead loss circulation mitigation, stress caging, and fluid optimization strategies.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve well performance, reduce risks, and control operating costs.

Operational Support

• Support and supervise fluids and cementing operations throughout drilling and completion activities.
• Monitor fluid performance, inventory, consumption, and cost efficiency.
• Drive initiatives to reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT) and improve operational reliability.
• Manage and monitor contractor performance, service quality, and operational KPIs.

HSE & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee waste management, cuttings discharge, fluid recovery, emissions monitoring, and solids control optimization.
• Support environmental stewardship and Zero Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) objectives.

Performance & Knowledge Management

• Capture lessons learned and share best practices across projects.
• Prepare end-of-well reports and technical performance analyses.
• Support budgeting, cost forecasting, contract management, and technical audits.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline

Minimum 15 years of experience in Drilling & Completion Fluids Engineering and Operations

Proven experience in:

• Drilling & Completion Fluids
• Cementing Operations
• Geomechanics & Wellbore Stability
• Hydraulics Modelling
• Offshore Development Projects
• Mature Fields, Depleted Reservoirs, and HPHT Wells

Experience in workovers, slot recovery, well re-entry, and P&A activities is an advantage

Strong understanding of offshore HSE standards and international operating practices

Proficient in industry-standard fluids and hydraulics software

Valid Offshore Medical Certificate, HUET, and Offshore Survival Certification
