WE’RE HIRING | Band 1 – Desktop Technician

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

New FTE Site

We are looking for a Band 1 – Desktop Technician to join our IT support team at a new FTE site in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st/2nd level desktop support and resolve hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Handle inbound support requests and maintain accurate updates in the ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows desktops/laptops, Microsoft Office 365, printers, and peripherals.
  • Provide basic support for Mac OS, iOS and Android devices.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and workstation hardware/software issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and remedial repairs.
  • Work with third-party vendors when required for complex issues.
  • Ensure timely communication, ticket updates, and SLA compliance.
  • Mentor and assist Band 0 Technicians and support Band 2 Technicians with ticket resolution.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends or off-hours when required.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in Windows/Desktop Support.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, MCP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
  • Windows 7–10
  • Active Directory & GPO
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • PC/Laptop hardware troubleshooting
  • Enterprise antivirus solutions
  • IT Helpdesk/Ticketing systems
  • Mobile device support (iOS & Android)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet SLAs.
  • Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
