Job Description:
Handle full sets of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations.
Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and relevant schedules.
Manage accounting for trading transactions, including purchases, sales, inventory and cost of goods sold.
Monitor and reconcile inventory and inter-company balances.
Handle foreign currency transactions and perform foreign exchange revaluation.
Prepare GST calculations and support GST submissions.
Prepare cash flow reports and monitor the company's cash position.
Review invoices, payment requests, receipts and supporting documents.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bank sand other external parties.
Assist with annual audit and tax matters.
Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards(SFRS).
Assist management with financial analysis, budgeting and other ad-hoc finance projects
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting.
Job Requirements:
Advance Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent is an advantage.
5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a trading, distribution, wholesale or similar environment.
Accounting & Financial Reporting – Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
Attention to Detail & Accuracy – High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial transactions, reconciliations, and accounting records.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyse financial information, identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and provide appropriate solutions.
Commodity Trading Awareness – Understanding of trading transactions, inventory, trade settlements, trading costs, and P&L is an advantage.
