Role Description This is an on-site Desktop Support Engineer contract role based in Miri. The role involves providing front-line technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and related peripherals, ensuring minimal downtime for end users. The Desktop Support Engineer will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, including support for printers and other office equipment. Day-to-day tasks include installing, configuring, and upgrading computer systems, performing routine maintenance, and documenting incidents and resolutions. The role also requires collaborating with other IT team members, guiding users on basic technical issues, and following company procedures and security standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in Desktop Support Engineer 

Key Responsibilities

• End-user IT support and troubleshooting
• Desktop/laptop deployment and maintenance (200 units)
• Network and connectivity troubleshooting
• Coordination with PGEO IT team and external vendors
• Basic server room and infrastructure health checks
• Support for IT projects and site-related IT initiatives
