Position Details

• Job Title: Senior Java Software Engineer (Spring Boot & Angular)
• Employment Type: 1 Year Renewable Contract
• Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
• Salary: Up to RM 8,000 per month
• Working Days: Monday – Friday
• Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Work Mode: Work From Office
• Eligibility: Open to Malaysian Citizens Only

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer (Spring Boot & Angular) to join an innovative Research & Development (R&D) driven technology organization focused on developing high-performance enterprise applications and next-generation AI-powered solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java development, modern web technologies, enterprise application architecture, and software engineering best practices while contributing to scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise software applications using Java technologies.
• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) frameworks to streamline software delivery.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.
• Optimize application performance through profiling, code optimization, and system tuning.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies in AI/ML, Big Data, and Real-Time Processing.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and enterprise backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering.
• Apply software engineering best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
• Participate in software architecture discussions and technical solution design.
• Perform application testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Support software deployment, release management, and production maintenance activities.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of Software Development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Strong frontend development experience using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular Framework.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Strong understanding of Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Software Design Patterns.
• Experience with Git, Maven, and Mercurial.
• Experience working with Tomcat, JBoss, or WildFly Application Servers.
• Hands-on experience working in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, Prompt Engineering, and Large Language Model (LLM) concepts.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience developing highly scalable and multi-threaded enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Storm, or Flume.
• Experience with MongoDB and ElasticSearch.
• Knowledge of Python and Bash Scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, Syslog, and NTP.
• Hands-on experience with AI Prompt Engineering and AI model optimization.
• Knowledge of LLM Fine-Tuning techniques and domain-specific AI applications.
• Experience with AI model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture and Vector Databases.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application development and modern software architecture.
• Passion for innovation, emerging technologies, AI, and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within Agile development teams.
