OVERVIEW

We are a Global Healthcare Distributor looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Logistics & Supply Chain to lead and strengthen our end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations.

This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence across warehousing, inventory management, transportation, distribution, and customer fulfilment while building scalable capabilities to support future business growth.

The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with strategic thinking and a passion for continuous improvement, technology adoption, and organisational development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Logistics & Supply Chain Leadership

• Develop and execute logistics and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Design and implement scalable logistics solutions to support business growth.
• Lead end-to-end logistics operations covering inbound logistics, warehousing, inventory management, order fulfilment, transportation, and distribution.
• Ensure high service levels, operational efficiency, and cost optimisation across the supply chain.

Warehouse & Distribution Operations

• Lead warehouse and distribution operations across multiple locations.
• Establish and maintain best-in-class warehouse standards, productivity frameworks, and performance metrics.
• Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, stock visibility, order fulfilment, and operational productivity.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Transportation & Logistics Management

• Optimise transportation networks and delivery performance.
• Manage logistics partners and third-party service providers.
• Drive improvements in logistics cost, delivery service levels, and operational reliability.
• Monitor and improve logistics performance through appropriate KPIs and governance mechanisms.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation and operational excellence.
• Lead digitalisation, automation, and logistics technology initiatives where appropriate.
• Drive data-driven decision making to improve service, productivity, and cost performance.
• Establish a culture of continuous improvement across logistics operations.

Organisation & Capability Building

• Build and develop a high-performing logistics and supply chain team.
• Establish clear performance expectations, succession planning, and talent development programs.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support business priorities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience leading both warehousing and transportation operations, including distribution and customer fulfilment.
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale warehouse and logistics operations.
• Demonstrated success in building, scaling, or transforming logistics capabilities.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation management, and distribution networks.
• Experience managing multi-site or regional operations.
• Strong experience managing third-party logistics providers and strategic logistics partners.
• Experience implementing operational improvements, automation, digitalisation, or logistics technologies.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, contract logistics, 3PL, retail distribution, manufacturing logistics, industrial distribution, or e-commerce fulfilment.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation or network optimisation initiatives.
• Exposure to regional logistics operations will be an advantage.
