About the role

We are looking for a PR Officer / Community Relations Officer to support our company's project operations in Sabah.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce the company and project activities to clients, local communities and relevant stakeholders.

• Build and maintain good relationships with clients, local communities and relevant parties.

• Communicate with local communities and collect feedback, concerns and suggestions.

• Assist in communication, coordination and follow-up with clients, communities and relevant authorities.

• Assist with necessary project-related permits, applications and coordination matters.

• Conduct site visits and external activities when required.

• Support the project team in resolving communication and coordination issues.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

About you

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Responsible, proactive and able to work independently.

• Good knowledge and understanding of Sabah's local culture, communities and working environment.

• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Previous experience in Public Relations (PR), Community Relations, Customer Relations or Stakeholder Engagement is an advantage.

• Able to communicate confidently with people from different backgrounds.

• Willing to work outdoors, conduct site visits and travel to project locations when required.

• Candidates with good local networks or community contacts in Sabah will have an added advantage.
