We have an Immediate Opening Senior Tester with our reputed Client.

Client Location Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

Experience: 5+ years

Role focus

• Leads complex test activities and provides technical direction and quality review within assigned applications or test phases.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the test strategy into detailed plans, scenarios, scripts, and traceability for assigned systems.

• Analyse requirements, architecture, interfaces, dependencies, and operational procedures to identify test coverage.

• Design and review complex functional, integration, regression, OAT, performance, resilience, and DR test cases.

• Coordinate daily execution and guide testers during test cycles.

• Validate test data, environment readiness, interfaces, monitoring, backup, failover, security, and connectivity prerequisites.

• Lead technical defect investigation, retesting, regression testing, and evidence validation.

• Review test results and ensure defects contain sufficient diagnostic information.

• Maintain requirements-to-test traceability, execution logs, evidence registers, and status reports.

• Support test automation and continuous improvement.

• Coach testers and provide progress, risks, and recommendations to the Testing Lead.

Decision authority

• Makes technical testing decisions within the assigned scope and recommends defect severity, coverage improvements, and readiness status.

Experience

• Typically 5–8 years of hands-on testing experience in complex enterprise environments.

Experience and skills

• Strong test-analysis, scenario-design, execution, troubleshooting, and defect-management skills.

• Experience testing integrated applications and dependencies across servers, databases, middleware, networks, storage, backup, security, and interfaces.

• Ability to interpret designs, migration runbooks, operational procedures, logs, and monitoring outputs.

• Experience with performance, resilience, DR, OAT, or automation testing is advantageous.

• Strong documentation, mentoring, communication, and coordination skills.

• Banking or regulated-environment experience is preferred.

Preferred certifications

• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or Technical Test Analyst.

• ISTQB Foundation Level.

• ITIL Foundation.

• Relevant automation, performance-testing, cloud, database, middleware, or infrastructure certification.

Primary deliverables

· Detailed test plans, scenarios, reviewed scripts, traceability matrix, technical defect analysis, execution reports, and validated evidence packs.
