GlobalTix is a dynamic and fast-growing technology company, providing a leading e-ticketing platform for the global travel and tourism industry. Our platform supports partners across multiple markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Senior Finance Executive – General Ledger to join our Finance team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and support our day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full General Ledger (GL) function for multiple entities across various countries, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other necessary adjustments.
- Oversee tax compliance matters, including direct and indirect tax filings, and coordinate closely with external tax advisors to ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules and reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
- Oversee and perform inventory management monthly, to ensure accuracy and efficiency usage.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow movements, management report, tax report and inventory reconciliation
- Handle Payment Gateway reconciliation (settlements, fees, refunds, chargebacks)
- Liaise with AP/AR teams to ensure accurate cut-off and financial reporting
- Support and maintain finance systems/ERP, identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in GL operations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of working experience in general ledger management and month-end close processes; experience in a Saas or technology environment is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial compliance requirements.
- Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting support, and control execution.
- Detailed-oriented and strong team player with the ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with tax and regulatory compliance in Thailand, Singapore or Malaysia.
- Experience in public accounting firm (Big 4 or reputable mid-sized) is highly regarded.
Knowledge Specific to the Position:
- Experience in GL functions with some AP/AR knowledge
- Demonstrated experience to multi-entity and multi-currency environments is essential
- Must possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Background in Saas/Technology companies that deals with high-volume transactions
- Experience with integrated ERP / finance systems (beyond standalone accounting tools)
- Able to start within short notice
