Key Responsibilities

• Teach English, phonics, and early literacy to KG1 and KG2 students.
• Develop students’ phonics, reading, writing, language, and communication skills through engaging activities.
• Create a safe, caring, and stimulating early years classroom environment.
• Establish routines and promote positive behaviour, independence, and social-emotional development.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the early years curriculum.
• Prepare teaching materials, worksheets, and learning resources.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress through observations, activities, and reading checks.
• Maintain student portfolios and identify students requiring additional support or enrichment.
• Communicate student progress and development with parents and school leadership.
• Guide parents on supporting phonics and reading development at home.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school reporting activities.
• Follow the direction of the Head of Early Years and school standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, English, or a related field.
• Experience teaching KG1/KG2 or early years students is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of phonics and early reading instruction.
• Passion for working with young children and supporting early childhood development.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Pay: From RM2,800.00 per month
