Job Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a trusted business partner responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment activity for non-management and volume hiring across assigned business areas. Working closely with hiring managers, business leaders and the People Team, the role acts as an advisor providing market intelligence, workforce planning support and recruitment expertise to enable business growth.
The role is accountable for the full recruitment lifecycle including stakeholder engagement, hiring strategy development, candidate attraction, direct sourcing, assessment and offer management. As an embedded business partner, the Talent Acquisition Specialist builds strong relationships across the organisation, participates in business meetings, provides recruitment data and insights and proactively develops talent pipelines to meet current and future workforce needs.
Key Accountabilities Business Partnership
- Build trusted relationships with hiring managers, business leaders & the People team within assigned business areas.
- Attend business meetings to understand commercial priorities, workforce challenges and hiring requirements.
- Provide advice on recruitment strategy, market conditions, talent availability and hiring best practice.
- Challenge and influence stakeholders where appropriate to drive effective hiring decisions.
- Support workforce planning activities and identify future talent requirements.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business, organisational structure, talent needs and workforce plans within assigned client groups.
Recruitment Delivery
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activity for non-management and volume hiring requirements.
- Conduct job brief meetings and agree recruitment strategies with hiring managers.
- Directly source, assess and manage candidates through the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Coordinate selection processes and advise on best practice assessment and selection methodologies to support right first time hiring decisions.
- Negotiate offers and manage candidate engagement through to successful appointment.
- Own delivery of recruitment activity for an assigned business portfolio to ensure effective and timely hiring outcomes.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process.
Talent Attraction & Pipeline Development
- Develop proactive talent pipelines aligned to workforce plans.
- Build networks across target talent communities.
- Leverage sourcing technologies, talent mapping and market research to identify talent.
- Promote internal mobility and support the identification of internal talent where appropriate.
- Proactively identify future talent needs and create talent communities to support long-term hiring demands.
Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Review recruitment data for an assigned portfolio and provide regular business updates.
- Share insights on talent markets, competitor activity and recruitment trends.
- Identify risks, opportunities and actions to improve hiring outcomes.
- Maintain accurate data within Talent Source to support reporting and workforce planning activities.
- Use data and insights to challenge assumptions and improve recruitment effectiveness, efficiency and hiring quality.
Employer Branding & External Engagement
- Represent CBRE at career fairs, networking events, industry forums and recruitment campaigns.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the CBRE internally & externally
- Support attraction campaigns, talent community engagement and talent marketing initiatives.
- Develop relationships with external talent networks and industry bodies.
Governance & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition, People and business colleagues to deliver quality hiring outcomes from diverse candidate pools.
- Ensure corporate, legal and data privacy requirements are met and champion CBRE Talent Acquisition principles and policies.
- Work with agreed recruitment agency suppliers where required and support effective management of external agency usage.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, with at least 3 years of Talent Acquisition experience specializing in engineering, technician, administrative, and finance roles.
