Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Resident Security Engineer with strong knowledge in Fortinet Secure Service Edge (SSE) and enterprise security operations. The engineer will be responsible for supporting security operations, policy management, incident response, and secure access technologies at customer premises.

Key Responsibilities

•  Provide onsite support for enterprise security operations.
•  Manage Fortinet SSE / SASE environment.
•  Support ZTNA, Secure Web Gateway, and CASB operations.
•  Monitor and respond to security incidents.
•  Perform security policy implementation and optimization.
• Troubleshoot access and security-related issues.
•  Support firewall and security infrastructure changes.
•  Coordinate with customer security teams and OEM support.
•  Ensure security best practices and compliance.
•  Prepare operational and incident reports.

Technical Requirements

•  Strong experience in Fortinet security technologies.
•  Hands-on knowledge of FortiSASE.

 Strong understanding of:

•      ZTNA
•      CASB
•     Secure Web Gateway
•      Firewall Security Policies
•      Access Control
•      Security Monitoring
•  Experience in incident response and problem management.

Preferred Certifications

•  NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7
•  Fortinet Security Certifications
• Security+, CISSP (Added Advantage)

Experience

•  4–8 years in security operations.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in enterprise security support.
•  Experience with SSE/SASE environments preferred.

age Fortinet-based security solutions, including secure SD-WAN, SSE, and firewall configurations to protect applications, networks, and data. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring security events, performing incident analysis and response, tuning security policies, and maintaining security infrastructure in line with best practices and compliance requirements. The role involves collaborating with IT, network, and application teams to assess security risks, support secure architecture design, and troubleshoot security-related issues. The engineer will also prepare documentation, contribute to security standards and procedures, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity and information security controls.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with experience applying security frameworks and best practices.
• Hands-on skills in Network Security and Security Engineering, including firewalls, VPNs, secure SD-WAN, and Fortinet security solutions.
• Knowledge of Application Security, including secure configuration, vulnerability assessment, and remediation practices.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise security architectures and controls in complex IT environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
• Experience working with cloud and hybrid environments, and familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to and manage security incidents effectively.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
