We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Head of Finance to lead our finance department and support the company’s growth across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, regional financial and legal knowledge, and proven experience in financial planning, banking relationships, and process digitalisation. You will play a key role in guiding business decisions through data-driven insights while leading and mentoring a capable finance team.

Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Leadership

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business goals and expansion plans
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and scenario planning processes
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies

Process Innovation & Digitalisation

• Implement and oversee automation tools to streamline finance operations
• Evaluate and adopt cloud-based financial platforms to improve reporting, compliance, and efficiency
• Ensure continuous improvement of internal financial processes and controls

Business Partnering

• Work closely with the CEO, Business Units, and Operations team to ensure financial alignment
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for revenue growth and cost optimisation
• Drive performance monitoring across all business units

Regional Finance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local tax, legal, and financial regulations in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia
• Monitor and manage currency risks, fund repatriation policies, and cross-border financial operations
• Stay updated with financial regulations and tax laws regionally

Banking & Investor Relations

• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and relevant financial institutions
• Explore and secure funding, grants, or credit facilities for business growth
• Oversee treasury management and investment planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in financial management
• Solid understanding of financial laws, tax regimes, and legal structures in Southeast Asia
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Proficient in finance software/tools (e.g., Xero, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with startups or high-growth companies is a plus
• Tech-forward mindset with openness to change and innovation
