Assistant Engineer (Production/Manufacturing) Overview

This role focuses on maintaining, optimizing, and supporting daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, or process failures on the shop floor.
• Process Optimization: Identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to increase output and reduce waste.
• Maintenance: Assisting with preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety (EHS) protocols, and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
• Data Reporting: Monitoring KPIs (e.g., cycle time, yield) and maintaining accurate production logs.

Key Requirements

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read technical drawings/schematics, proficiency in CAD software, and basic data analysis (Excel).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience: Often entry-level or 1–3 years in a plant or manufacturing setting.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
