Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Sales, the Training Manager trains and supports retail teams across the Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Korea, ensuring a strong understanding of the brand, its quality standards, and its collections. The role also involves building strong relationships with retail partners and delivering impactful training experiences.
Job responsibilities:
- In close cooperation with the Regional Sales Managers, develop the annual training plan for all retailers within scope.
- Establish and manage the budget required to deploy the annual training plan.
- Monitor e-learning activities, including setting up and closing accounts as required, and overseeing Step 1and Step 2 modules, New Models and PP Quiz rollouts, engagement activities, and Post Step 4 online modules.
- In close cooperation with all relevant departments and external service providers, ensure the organisation of in-classroom training, including Step 3, Base Caliber training, Step 4, ICS Training Modules, and Post Step 4 modules.
- Support the development of training content, as well as the development and implementation of training tools, and assess their effectiveness and execution quality.
- Deliver approved and agreed training modules.
- Identify training needs among retailers and ensure delivery in accordance with the approved plan.
- Support sales activities within the region, including retailer events and exhibitions, by identifying knowledge gaps and conducting the necessary training.
- Provide appropriate reporting and visibility on training activities and budgets.
- Conduct face-to-face training sessions for point-of-sale staff across Patek Philippe Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Korea.
- Deliver technical and/or product training by designing, preparing, and facilitating training programmes.
Requirements:
- University degree in Training, Education, or a related field.
- More than 15 years of proven and successful experience as a trainer, ideally within the watchmaking or luxury goods industry.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in an additional language would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%; enthusiastic, customer-oriented, supportive, and passionate about training, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Diplomatic, comfortable working in a multicultural environment, team-oriented, and proactive in proposing solutions and initiatives.
