ISEP Metal Fabrication Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a hands-on and technically capable Fabrication Manager / Design & Production Manager to establish and develop our metal fabrication and panel fabrication business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fabrication or production professional who enjoys building systems, solving technical problems and working directly with a production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the complete fabrication process—from client enquiry, engineering design and quotation to material procurement, production, quality inspection, delivery and after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and develop ISEP Metal’s fabrication operations and production workflow.
• Review client enquiries, drawings, electrical schematics and technical specifications.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, 3D models, flat patterns and DXF files using Autodesk Inventor Professional.
• Design and develop metal enclosures, control and power panels, brackets, supports, trays and related metalwork.
• Prepare BOMs, material take-offs, cost estimates and quotation inputs.
• Source materials and coordinate with Procurement and suppliers on pricing, quality and lead times.
• Plan and supervise fabrication activities, including cutting, bending, drilling, tapping, fit-up, welding, grinding, polishing and assembly.
• Supervise or perform panel assembly and wiring where required.
• Ensure products meet approved drawings, customer specifications, applicable standards and internal quality requirements.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections, functional testing and FAT documentation where applicable.
• Maintain material traceability, production records, inspection reports and progress updates.
• Supervise, train and develop fabrication personnel.
• Enforce workshop safety, PPE usage and good housekeeping.Improve productivity, material utilisation, workmanship and production efficiency.
• Support delivery, customer inspections, troubleshooting and after-sales rectification.

What is the Requirements?

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Fabrication Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in metal fabrication, panel fabrication, manufacturing or production.
• Strong hands-on experience in metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, drilling, tapping and welding.
• Experience with stainless steel, mild steel, enclosures, panels, brackets, supports or trays.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor Professional – mandatory.
• Able to prepare fabrication drawings, 3D models, flat patterns, DXF files and BOMs.
• Able to read electrical schematics and panel layout drawings.
• Experience in production planning, costing, material sourcing and quality inspection.
• Knowledge of FAT, workmanship standards, material traceability and workshop safety.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willing to work hands-on and build the operation from the ground up.
