Network Switch Migration Engineer

Location: Singapore
Contract: 6 Months
Work Mode: On-site

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute network switch migration activities.

• Review network architecture, design documents, and migration requirements.

• Validate switch hardware, firmware/OS versions, licensing, and compatibility.

• Prepare implementation, migration, testing, and rollback plans.

• Perform switch build, initial configuration, and firmware/OS upgrades.

• Implement network security hardening and disable unused ports/services.

• Integrate switches with enterprise monitoring platforms.

• Configure and validate SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow, performance, interface, and environmental monitoring.

• Perform pre-migration health checks and configuration backups.

• Execute migrations while minimizing downtime and business impact.

• Perform connectivity testing and troubleshoot migration-related issues.

• Create and maintain network diagrams, port mappings, IP documentation, and configuration records.

• Provide post-migration monitoring and support.

• Support release readiness activities and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience in network switch migration and implementation.

• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and switch configuration.

• Experience with network security hardening.

• Experience with firmware/OS upgrades and configuration backups.

• Good understanding of SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow, and network monitoring.

• Experience with connectivity testing and troubleshooting.

• Strong documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.
