JOB SCOPE:

The incumbent is responsible for managing end-to-end servicing operations for MHIT policies, including process operationalisation, SOP development and readiness for National Launch. The role ensures compliance with MHIT onboarding requirements, supports operational readiness initiatives, and contributes towards the development of a scalable and system-enabled onboarding model in preparation for National Launch.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Operational Execution

  • Manage end-to-end MHIT operations, including onboarding, policy issuance, policy alterations, reinstatements, lapses, surrenders, repricing activities, and other policy lifecycle transactions.
  • Review, validate, and process applications and servicing requests to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with MHIT requirements, regulatory standards, and internal governance controls
  • Coordinate with Underwriting, Distribution, Customer Servicing, Technology, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless onboarding and servicing experiences.
  • Monitor operational performance, turnaround times, service quality, and adherence to established service levels.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational issues and drive timely resolution to ensure service excellence.

B. SOP Development & Process Design

  • Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and operational guidelines for MHIT onboarding and servicing processes.
  • Establish governance frameworks, validation checkpoints, operational controls, and escalation protocols to ensure effective risk management and process consistency.
  • Identify operational gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities through ongoing process reviews, pilot learnings, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of operational processes to improve efficiency, customer experience, and scalability in preparation for National Launch.

C. Training & Capability Build

  • Develop and maintain training materials, operating manuals, and knowledge repositories for MHIT operational processes.
  • Conduct training and capability-building programmes for operations, customer servicing, and frontline teams to ensure operational readiness and process compliance.
  • Support communication, change management, and rollout activities related to MHIT implementation, process enhancements, and system changes.

D. National Launch Readiness & Continuous Improvement

  • Support operational readiness activities across people, process, governance, and system dimensions to ensure successful National Launch.
  • Contribute operational requirements, testing support, and process validation for scalable and system-enabled onboarding and servicing models.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, quality standards, productivity metrics, and risk indicators, providing regular reporting and management updates.
  • Identify and drive automation, process simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and customer experience.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Health Sciences, or related disciplines.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in insurance operations, new business, onboarding, underwriting operations, or policy administration.
  • Experience managing operational processes and stakeholders in project or transformation environments.
  • Prior experience in health insurance, medical underwriting operations, or large-scale implementation projects is an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of insurance onboarding, underwriting processes, and policy issuance workflows.
  • Sound knowledge of operational controls, process governance, and service delivery management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving project environment.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and project coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting tools.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,500.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • MHIT policies: 8 years (Preferred)
  • medical underwriting operation: 8 years (Preferred)
  • life insurance/healthcare: 8 years (Preferred)
