Company Description Our client is a worldwide well-known provider of Semiconductor assembly and test services, offering a full range of turnkey services that include package design, front-end engineering test, wafer test, package assembly and final test. Our client's manufacturing plant is the first Semiconductor facility setup in Malaysia and the first manufacturing plant overseas. It has pioneering packaging and test solutions, positioning it strongly to capitalize on its strong capabilities in Semiconductor assembly and test services.

Role Description The NPI Engineer/Senior Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Melaka site, focused on New Product Introduction (NPI) for semiconductor manufacturing. The position is to lead the development and introduction of new products (NPI) from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and introduction of new products (NPI) from concept to production.
• Serve as the primary technical interface, providing technical support to customer and the Sales team.
• Evaluate the feasibility of product package design and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct product cost evaluations, optimize manufacturing processes and Bills of Material (BOM) and drive cost reduction (Cost Down) initiatives.
• Experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) for power semiconductor products is required.
• Candidates with experience supporting customers such as Renesas, Onsemi, STMicroelectronics (STM), Vishay or other leading semiconductor Companies will have an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Diploma or above in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related Engineering disciplines.
• English proficiency equivalent to CET-4 intermediate English proficiency level.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office application.
• Relevant working experience will definitely be an added advantage and shall be considered first.
