Responsibilities:
- Act as the Payroll Solution Architect and SME for Malaysia and Singapore, working directly with clients to understand payroll requirements and business processes.
- Lead client requirement gathering and solutioning workshops, translating business and statutory requirements into practical payroll system solutions.
- Work closely with internal configuration teams to translate the approved solution into system configuration and ensure the solution is implemented as designed.
- Review and validate configuration, perform internal testing, and support resolution of payroll calculation and configuration issues.
- Lead functional support during UAT and parallel payroll runs, analysing issues and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate payroll outcomes.
- Provide payroll system training and functional guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Act as the key functional bridge between clients, configuration, product and technical teams for payroll-related requirements and issues.
- Stay updated on Malaysia and Singapore statutory requirements, product changes and payroll best practices to ensure compliant and effective solutions.
- Identify product gaps and recurring client requirements and work with Product and Engineering teams to drive appropriate solutions.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore Payroll with at least 10 years of payroll implementation experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll statutory compliance and payroll processes in Malaysia and Singapore.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, solution design, payroll system configuration, testing, UAT and parallel payroll.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, including senior Payroll, HR and Finance stakeholders.
- Strong ability to understand client requirements and translate them into scalable payroll system solutions.
- Ability to independently analyse payroll calculations, troubleshoot system issues and work with configuration/technical teams to resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
- Self-driven learner who stays current with payroll statutory changes, product enhancements and industry best practices.
