Learning Needs. Capability Development. Future Readiness.
We are looking for a Learning & Development Executive to support the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of learning and development initiatives across Aafiyat Group.
This role goes beyond training coordination. You will support the identification of competency gaps, individual development needs and organisational priorities, and translate them into relevant development initiatives. The role also supports the implementation of our learning ecosystem, including competency assessment, Individual Development Plans (IDP), Learning Passport, leadership development, mentoring programmes and other capability development initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Learning Needs & Competency Analysis
- Analyse competency assessment results to identify individual and organisational development gaps.
- Translate competency gaps into relevant learning and development interventions.
- Work with HODs and employees to identify development priorities based on current roles and future readiness.
- Consolidate learning needs across functions for annual and periodic L&D planning.
- Support validation of development needs with relevant stakeholders.
Individual Development Plan & Learning Passport
- Coordinate and monitor employees' Individual Development Plans (IDP) through the Learning Passport.
- Ensure development activities are properly recorded, updated and monitored.
- Follow up with employees and HODs on the completion and progress of agreed development activities.
- Track learning progress and identify gaps between planned and actual development.
- Maintain accurate learning and competency records for management reporting.
Learning Programme Management
- Coordinate internal and external learning programmes from planning through to completion.
- Manage programme schedules, participants, facilitators, learning materials and programme administration.
- Support leadership and talent development programmes, including mentoring, leadership exposure and customised development initiatives.
- Ensure learning programmes are aligned with identified competency and business needs.
- Conduct post-programme evaluations and consolidate learning feedback.
Learning Effectiveness & Impact
- Monitor whether learning interventions result in improvements in knowledge, behaviour and workplace application.
- Gather feedback from participants, supervisors and relevant stakeholders following learning interventions.
- Support the evaluation of learning effectiveness beyond attendance and satisfaction.
- Identify recurring competency gaps and areas where learning interventions have not translated into workplace improvement.
- Prepare insights and recommendations for the continuous improvement of L&D initiatives.
Learning Content & Development Solutions
- Research suitable learning programmes, courses, learning platforms and development approaches based on identified needs.
- Support the development of internal learning materials, guides and development pathways.
- Coordinate subject matter experts and internal trainers where relevant.
- Support self-directed learning and ensure selected resources are relevant to employees' development needs.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Support development programmes for high-potential employees, successors and future leaders.
- Coordinate mentoring and leadership development activities involving senior management and C-Suite leaders.
- Monitor participation, development progress and programme requirements.
- Support People Strategy in tracking readiness for broader or future organisational responsibilities.
L&D Data, Reporting & Insights
- Maintain accurate L&D data, learning records and development dashboards.
- Prepare periodic reports on learning participation, competency gaps, IDP progress and programme effectiveness.
- Analyse learning trends and highlight areas requiring management attention.
- Support management decision-making through clear and practical L&D insights.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with employees, HODs, senior management and external learning providers.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure agreed development actions are completed.
- Coordinate learning requirements across different functions while understanding their operational needs.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the learning process.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Education, Learning & Development or a related field.
- Preferably 1–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Human Resources or related areas.
- Exposure to competency frameworks, training coordination, talent development or digital learning platforms would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand competency and learning data.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple programmes, timelines and follow-ups.
- Proactive, structured and execution-focused.
- Strong stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools.
- Comfortable working with digital learning and HR platforms.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
