The Business Development Executive plays a key role in driving the growth, visibility and market development of our piano and musical instrument business.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong piano background and genuine passion for the instrument, who understands the piano market, customer needs and music education ecosystem. You will work closely with dealers, music schools, teachers, artists and internal teams to strengthen brand presence, develop market opportunities and drive commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute brand strategies to drive brand awareness, market positioning and sales growth.
- Develop relationships with piano teachers, music schools, academies, artists, dealers and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify new opportunities through education programmes, workshops, events, artist engagement and strategic partnerships.
- Analyse sales performance, product trends, customer insights and competitor activities to support brand and commercial decisions.
- Support product forecasting, purchasing and inventory planning to ensure healthy product availability and sell-through.
- Work with dealers and sales teams to strengthen product positioning, product knowledge and customer experience.
- Support product presentations, demonstrations, clinics and training where required.
- Develop marketing initiatives and content to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.
- Identify and develop suitable sales channels, including retail, e-commerce, music schools, institutional and B2B opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong piano background is required.
- Formal piano training, piano certification, music qualifications or equivalent practical piano experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge and genuine interest in pianos and the piano market, including acoustic and digital pianos.
- Understanding of the local piano, music education and musical instrument market is highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience or connections within music schools, piano teaching, piano retail, performance or music education will have an advantage.
- Candidates with a strong piano and musical instrument background will be prioritised.
- 3–5 years of experience in musical instruments, music education, retail, brand management, product marketing, sales or business development.
- Strong commercial, analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to translate product knowledge and market insights into brand and business opportunities.
- Experience in product forecasting, purchasing or stock management will be an advantage.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
