Locum Psychologist | The Interval | Singapore

The Interval is a new counselling practice for adolescents and emerging adults aged 14–25, opening soon in Singapore.

We believe the years between adolescence and adulthood deserve more thoughtful attention than they typically receive. While significant focus is often placed on academic achievement, performance and future pathways, the deeper work of identity formation, emotional wellbeing, relationships, belonging and self-understanding is no less important.

Our practice brings together counsellors and psychologists with complementary experience and perspectives, united by a shared interest in the developmental years between 14 and 25. Our approach is neuroscience-informed, relational and developmentally attuned, with the therapeutic relationship at the centre of our work.

We also recognise that a young person rarely exists in isolation. Families, schools, friendships, culture and community all shape how they understand themselves and navigate the world around them. Where clinically appropriate, our work therefore extends beyond the therapy room to thoughtful collaboration with the systems surrounding our clients.

As we prepare to open, we are looking for a locum psychologist who shares this perspective and has a genuine interest in working with adolescents and emerging adults.

We would particularly welcome psychologists with experience supporting young people across areas such as anxiety and mood, identity and belonging, relationships and family, school or university transitions, and neurodiversity. Experience working collaboratively with parents, families and educational settings would be highly regarded, as would experience in family work or family-based interventions.

This is a flexible, sessional locum opportunity and may suit a psychologist looking to complement an existing practice or professional role while becoming part of a thoughtful and collaborative clinical community.
