Summary of Duties

Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including network, server, cloud, and cybersecurity environments. Duties include administering LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN, firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, Windows and Linux servers, as well as virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V. The role ensures system performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, and access control. Responsibilities also include implementing cybersecurity controls, managing security incidents, conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining business continuity through backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies to support uninterrupted business operations.

Main Duties

1. Network Administration & Support

- Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN infrastructure.

- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

- Ensure high uptime through proactive maintenance and planning.

- Manage network devices: firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers (physical and cloud).

- Manage and maintain server infrastructure supporting network and security services.

- Implement server hardening, patch management, and access control in accordance with security standards.

- Support virtualized environments hosting network and security solutions.

- Monitor system availability and performance to ensure secure and reliable operations.

2. Security & Compliance

- Enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard assets.

- Manage tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM.

- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents.

- Maintain incident response plans and conduct security training.

- Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with cybersecurity laws and frameworks.

3. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

- Ensure continuity via robust backup and disaster recovery planning.

- Develop and test DR and business continuity plans.

- Validate backup procedures and ensure data integrity and availability.
