Role Overview

We are seeking a backend-focused Python engineer to build data pipelines and integrations from the ground up. This is a hands-on coding role, not a platform configuration role. You will write Python to connect, transform, and move data between systems, not configure workflows inside a commercial ETL tool.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and API integrations entirely in Python, from source system to destination.
• Write custom ETL logic using Python dataframes, REST APIs, and cloud SDKs, rather than relying on commercial ETL platforms.
• Build and maintain connector logic for external SaaS applications, including authentication, error handling, and retry mechanisms.
• Use AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot or LLM-based agents to accelerate development, while independently validating output quality.
• Work with cloud data warehouse platforms as the destination layer for pipeline output.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure pipeline reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on software development experience, with strong, demonstrable Python skills.
• Experience writing ETL or data pipeline logic in code, not through drag-and-drop or GUI-based ETL tools.
• Experience with REST API integration, including authentication handling (OAuth, API keys, tokens).
• Exposure to any cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks) is a plus, not required.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed team environment.
• Good written and spoken English.
