As part of your role, you will report to the Vice President, Information Technology. You will work with RAS and other technology partners on iMIS and application matters, and with individual SID departments to understand their process and reporting needs. Your role will also include working with the Accreditation & Professional Development Committee, the SID Executive Team, eco-system partners, and any other relevant committees or working groups as assigned by the CEO or the Vice President, Information Technology.
Your responsibilities fall into three areas. iMIS platform management, applications and AI, and e-learning maintenance alongside broader support to the Vice President, Information Technology.
iMIS Platform Management
Manage and action requests from SID teams relating to iMIS, including IQA (iMIS Query Architect) report requests and website content updates.
Serve as system administrator for iMIS and all platforms integrated with it, managing user access, configuration, and day-to-day platform health.
Develop and maintain dashboards drawing on iMIS data to give SID teams and leadership visibility of key operational information.
Build deep working knowledge of iMIS to provide first-line internal support to SID teams, escalating to RAS only when an issue cannot be resolved internally.
Applications & AI
Support the Vice President, Information Technology in developing applications that help departments streamline their processes.
Conceptualise and design applications and digital solutions to support SID’s wider operations.
Work with RAS to deploy and scale approved applications for rollout to teams or end users.
Partner with individual departments to build applications or solutions that improve their productivity.
E-Learning (Maintenance)
Maintain SID’s existing e-learning modules, making updates and fixes as needed to keep content current and working correctly.
Continue admin management of SID’s Learning Management System (LMS), including platform administration and user management.
Conduct periodic testing of the LMS and work with the LMS vendor to report and track bugs.
Provide technical support for online learning as needed.
Education & Certifications
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT systems administration, applications development, or a similar hybrid technical role.
Prior experience specifically with iMIS, including its query and reporting tools (e.g. IQA).
Experience building or configuring internal business applications or workflow tools, or working with AI-enabled tools in a business setting.
Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) and maintaining SCORM-based e-learning content.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting instincts, with the judgement to know when to resolve something directly and when to escalate.
Experience in a non-profit, association, or membership-based organisation is a plus, but not mandatory
Willing to learn new systems and tools as SID's technology environment evolves, rather than treating the current toolset as fixed.
Self-starter who can conceptualise, prototype, and deliver small-to-medium applications with minimal supervision.
