Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Executive to oversee daily finance and accounting operations, monthly closing, inventory costing, cost analysis and financial reporting. The role will work closely with Production, Warehouse and other departments to ensure accurate financial records, effective inventory control and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the monthly accounting closing process for Samurai 2K Aerosol Sdn. Bhd. and related companies.
- Ensure monthly accounts are accurately finalized and closed within the required timeline.
- Perform inventory costing and inventory adjustments and monitor monthly stock movements.
- Prepare monthly Cost of Production and Wastage Reports and analyse significant cost variances.
- Work closely with Production to review production costs, identify cost increases and recommend cost reduction and improvement actions.
- Complete monthly Cost of Production and Wastage Reports within the required reporting timeline.
- Coordinate with Warehouse to monitor stock accuracy, investigate stock variances and identify root causes.
- Conduct regular stock checks and spot checks to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate and participate in half-yearly and yearly stock takes.
- Perform monthly creditor reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies.
- Process and record non-inventory vendor invoices and related transactions accurately.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and necessary accounting adjustments.
- Manage fixed assets, including asset creation, tagging and monthly depreciation.
- Prepare and submit SST returns within the required timeline.
- Create and maintain accurate customer and supplier accounts in the accounting system.
- Review and monitor the work performed by finance subordinates to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures.
- Review the monthly closing accounts of related companies and ensure timely completion.
- Provide financial and cost-related information to Management for decision-making and business improvement.
- Assist with internal and external audits and provide the necessary financial records and supporting documents.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, inventory control and overall cost efficiency.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in inventory costing, cost of production and inventory control.
- Good understanding of full set accounts and monthly closing processes.
- Experience in stock take, stock reconciliation and inventory variance analysis.
- Familiarity with SST, fixed assets, depreciation, and journal entries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines and collaborate effectively with Production, Warehouse and other departments.
- Experience in supervising or reviewing the work of finance team members will be an advantage.
- High level of accuracy, integrity and accountability.

Pay: RM3,100.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
