Job Summary

You will lead workplace safety and health management for major building construction projects, ensuring compliance and safety standards while supervising site safety teams and coordinating complex construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage workplace safety and health (WSH) for projects of similar scale and complexity, focusing on major building construction works
• Supervise site safety personnel to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations
• Apply expertise in cut and cover tunnels, deep excavation, foundation, and ground improvement works to enhance project safety outcomes
• Coordinate safety management activities in airside environments, ensuring compliance with specific airside safety requirements
• Develop and implement safety plans and risk assessments to mitigate hazards on construction sites
• Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and teamwork
• Oversee and report on safety performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and actively practicing as WSHO for at least 5 years
• Minimum 8 years of WSH experience, including supervision of works on major building construction projects
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of site safety personnel
• Possess a Degree in engineering, Workplace Safety and Health disciplines, or related qualifications

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working with developers or main contractors for at least 5 years
• Prior exposure to airside environments and their safety requirements
