Responsibilities

Content Production

• Edit six short-form videos per week for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, delivering polished, platform-ready masters on schedule.
• Turn raw footage into tight, story-driven cuts with basic color correction and audio fixes to maintain a clear visual language.
• Join a weekly online meeting to align on briefs, review feedback and finalise the release calendar.
• Support on-location shoots up to once a week when required, handling simple camera and b-roll capture tasks.

Process & Standards

• Design and document the editing workflow, including templates, naming conventions and export presets to speed handoffs.
• Set and maintain editing standards that keep tone and brand consistent across all channels.
• Monitor content turnaround and propose concrete improvements to shorten publish cycles and reduce rework.
• Manage version control, captions and metadata so posts are accurate and ready by deadlines.

Platform Management & Performance

• Schedule and publish content across our platforms, ensuring captions, tags and thumbnails meet platform best practices.
• Track basic performance metrics and share weekly insights with the Executive Producer to guide edits and formats.
• Test short-form formats and iterate to increase viewership and engagement based on audience signals.
• Coordinate with creatives and clients on briefs, revisions and delivery to meet studio and client expectations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• You are a student or recent graduate in film, media, communications or a related field, or an early-career editor with a demonstrable portfolio.
• Practical experience producing short-form social videos, and the ability to meet the commitment of three editing days per week plus a weekly online meeting.
• Comfortable with flexible, relaxed hours and occasional location shoots around Kuala Lumpur.
• Internship, freelance, or credited studio experience on client projects is a strong advantage.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in industry editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Solid understanding of social formats, aspect ratios, codecs and export settings for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Basic skills in color grading, audio cleanup and subtitle/caption creation for mobile-first viewing.
• Familiarity with simple project management, cloud storage workflows and documenting templates and presets.
