Key Responsibilities
Develop and score original choreography, formations, and staging concepts aligned with event themes and production briefs.
Conduct rehearsals and masterclasses, coaching dancers through technical execution, timing, spatial geometry, and performance expression.
Evaluate individual performer capabilities and tailor routines to optimize ensemble synchronization, dynamic range, and physical safety.
Collaborate with music directors, lighting specialists, costume designers, and stage managers to integrate visual timing with production cues.
Supervise stage blocking and live cue transitions during technical rehearsals and dry runs.
Provide targeted post-rehearsal notes and maintenance coaching to ensure consistent performance standards throughout show runs.
Requirements
Proven background as a Choreographer, Movement Director, or Lead Rehearsal Master across live events, theatrical productions, or commercial stages.
Advanced proficiency in recognized dance disciplines (e.g., commercial, urban, jazz, contemporary, or fusion genres).
Strong pedagogical and communication skills to convey intricate movement details across differing skill levels.
Keen visual-spatial awareness and an understanding of live stage perspective, lighting interaction, and audio pacing.
Agility in restructuring choreography quickly under evolving stage footprints or production adjustments.
Ability to commit to non-standard schedules, including night rehearsals, weekends, and public holidays, in line with event timelines.
