Background
We are not a big company, but we have big dreams. We're a tight-knit crew fighting to make our mark, and we know there are no shortcuts. The only path to where we want to go is through hard work, focus, and a whole lot of heart. We're building this from scratch, and every single person on the team is critical to our success.
The Right Fit for Our Team
Skills can be taught, but attitude is everything. We need someone who gets our culture and is ready to live it every day. Here’s who we’re looking for:
- You're a Team Player, Period. We win and lose as one. You’re ready to roll up your sleeves and help a teammate without being asked. There are no silos here.
- You Have Grit. When you hit a wall, you don't give up. You get resourceful, you figure it out, and you find a way through. We need problem-solvers, not just task-doers.
- You Ask Questions. There are no stupid questions here, only the ones you were too afraid to ask. If you don't know, you ask. If you're unsure, you clarify. We value honesty and learning over pretending.
- You Live by "If Cannot Also, Must Can." This is our unofficial motto. It's the mindset that no challenge is too big and "no" is not the final answer. It’s about perseverance and an absolute refusal to fail.
- You're Ready for the Grind. We need to be crystal clear: this is not a cruise. The only way we achieve our big dreams is with sweat, blood, and tears. We are looking for people who want to be in the trenches with us, building something amazing. This is an all-or-nothing mission. Either you're in, or you're not.
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly driven, organised, and adaptable Special Operations Executive to work closely with our company’s founders and senior leadership as they venture into a new business in the wellness supplement space.
As the first official hire, you’ll be joining at the very beginning of the journey. There won’t be an established team, process, or playbook waiting for you. You’ll work closely with and shadow the leadership team as they build the business from the ground up, getting involved in the different moving parts needed to turn an idea into a real, growing business.
This is a multifaceted, hands-on role at the heart of the business. You’ll work across different areas of the company, from business operations, finance, and people to clients, vendors, partnerships, and new initiatives, with your scope evolving as the business grows.
With the business still taking shape, not everything will come with a clear process or playbook. You’ll need to be comfortable assessing situations, connecting the dots, figuring out what needs to happen next, and taking ownership to move things forward.
You’ll have the support and direction of senior leadership, but we’re looking for someone who can think beyond their immediate tasks, spot what needs attention, and proactively make things happen.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, working with people, and being part of something from the very beginning. If you’re looking for a role where every day looks the same, this probably isn’t it. If you’re up for a challenge and enjoy being involved in how a business operates and grows, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Execution
- Support senior leadership in managing and improving the day-to-day running of the business.
- Turn business priorities and ideas into actionable plans and follow through on execution.
- Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and potential issues, and take the initiative to address them.
- Develop and improve processes, systems, and workflows as the business grows.
- Coordinate across teams to ensure priorities, projects, and initiatives stay on track.
- Keep track of important follow-ups, deadlines, decisions, and action items.
Commercial & Financial Support
- Support the monitoring of business finances, budgets, expenses, and cash flow.
- Support invoices, payments, expenses, and financial documentation.
- Track key commercial information and provide visibility on business performance.
- Work with accountants, auditors, banks, and other external parties when required.
- Gather and analyse relevant information to support commercial decisions.
Client, Partner & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Support senior leadership in managing key client and stakeholder relationships.
- Coordinate communication, follow-ups, negotiations, and issue resolution.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with external parties.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and develop new ones.
Special Projects & Leadership Support
- Work closely with senior leadership on high-priority business matters and projects.
- Take ownership of projects that cut across different functions of the business.
- Conduct research, prepare information, and coordinate stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Follow through on decisions and ensure agreed actions are executed.
- Step into new areas of responsibility as business needs evolve.
- Handle sensitive and confidential business matters with discretion.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is more than just good at their job; someone who can understand the bigger picture and make things happen.
- Highly organised. Able to manage multiple priorities, projects, people, and moving parts without losing track.
- Proactive and resourceful. You don’t wait to be told what to do at every step. You identify what needs attention and take action.
- Strong problem solver. Able to assess a situation, connect the dots, consider different options, and determine the appropriate next step.
- Good judgement. You know when to take ownership, when to ask questions, and when something needs to be escalated to senior leadership.
- Commercially minded. Interested in understanding how businesses operate, make money, and grow.
- Adaptable and flexible. Comfortable switching between different areas and priorities as the business evolves.
- Strong communicator. Able to work confidently with leadership, employees, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- High ownership. You follow through and don’t let things fall through the cracks.
- Comfortable with ambiguity. You don’t need everything to be perfectly structured before you can start.
- People-oriented. Able to build trust and work effectively with different personalities.
- Curious and willing to learn. Comfortable stepping into areas you may not have worked in before.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace and common business tools.
- Experience in business operations, management, consulting, project management, account management, entrepreneurship, or a similarly broad role is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn’t just about completing a list of tasks.
It’s about becoming someone the leadership team can trust to take ownership, connect the dots, spot problems early, and help turn ideas into action.
You should be able to take a goal, understand what needs to happen, and figure out the path to get there, while keeping the relevant people informed, asking for guidance when needed, and knowing when a decision needs to come back to senior leadership.
As the business grows, your scope will grow with it.
